The JavaScript Trainer is responsible for training, mentoring, and upskilling team members across the backend department.
You must have a proven track record of success in training teams/groups, individuals, providing personal mentorship with a strong sense of leadership, collaboration, and self-organization.

In this role, you will get to

  • Coach and mentor, train, and educate JS team members, individually and in group
  • Rarely participate in Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) projects as backend developer to stay up to date on technologies
  • Participate in interviewing JS engineers. Provide feedback to the technical interviewers and work on the interviewing approaches improvements.
  • Contribute to the technical interview process/procedures within backend department
  • Develop training programs with their ongoing review and update regularly
  • Provide support and actively participate in JS Boot camps in different locations
  • Update and maintain the JS knowledge base/onboarding programs Participate in the internal and external knowledge sharing events as a speaker
  • Research training and knowledge sharing events needs, be ready to plan and organize them in collaboration with L&D and Event teams

Your skills and qualifications:

  • Over 5 years of experience in software development with any server-side language (Node.js is preferred)
  • At least 3 years of training and coaching experience, individually and in groups
  • Experience with interviewing, onboarding, and coaching of JS engineers
  • Excellent knowledge of native JavaScript and OOP
  • Must be an independent, self-motivated team player that is meticulous and methodical in creating solutions
  • Upper-intermediate spoken and written English

Good to have:

  • Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud platform
  • Public speaking experience on events
